Our Values Today

Have you ever asked yourself what is really the true meaning of values in our life? Did you ever wonder what’s the importance of values? Do you think that our values would really last forever?
Our values today could be considered as a good one. People today think that values would change, but that’s not true! All the things in this world will change, the attitudes, feelings, the surroundings and all the people living in this world, but values would never change. Values always remain as values.
It’s sad to know that our values today are deteriorating. But we can do some things to bring back our values.

My Teacher, My Hero

One way of making a difference in this world is to influence others through your good thoughts and deeds. The ability to be a hero is within us. It is in our self if we will develop it or not. But how can we become a hero? Do we need to die for us to be declared as a hero?
A teacher is such an influential person because, the students will do what he/she does because she's a teacher, and that's her profession, and we can't do anything about that. Teachers mould the professional ones now. They could learn nothing if not because of teachers. They serve as our second parents at school. They care for us. Being a hero, doesn't mean that you would die for that honour. It doesn't require death anyway. I liked to be like my teacher someday because she's brave and strong even if she is woman. She doesn't easily become weak. When we were in a competition, she told me, "Never give up." She always gives encouragement to me. At the end of the contest, the result was announced and found that i lost the competition. I was so depressed because I did my very best just to win the competition. But she just told me, "Life, they say, is like a wheel, it has its ups and downs. It seems our wheels got stuck is at a standstill. To get on top again, we have to work harder and it’s the same thing as "Life has its wins and losses. We must learn to accept what would be the outcome. Another lesson that I've got from my teacher is when we did an activity, I only shortcut the procedures to make it work fast, but in the end, it didn't work. She says "He who does things in a hurry often messes them up". "A fruit that's forced to ripen turns sour, if not bitter". From that I learned the art of waiting.
A teacher can't be a good one not unless she has warm affection towards her pupils and a great desire to change their lives.
